In Eppo 1 staat van mij
De boekenkast van... Ruud Straatman. Deze veelzijdige stripscenarist werkte samen met o.a. Martin Lodewijk, Evert Geradts en Peter de Wit en tekent zelf ook strips. Als redacteur van Robbedoes ontdekte hij het talent van Eric Heuvel en voor hem schreef hij het Agent 327 hommageverhaaltje ‘Dossier naschoolse activiteiten’, gepubliceerd in Eppo 15 van 2017 en gebundeld in het Agent 327 hommageboek Hulde aan de jubilaris. Eppo 1 ligt tot 25 januari in de winkel en is los te
bestellen via de Eppo site.

Ruud Straatman (1948) is een van de meest veelzijdige Nederlandse stripmakers. Hij schreef een groot aantal Disney strips en werkte samen aan verhalen voor Martin Lodewijk (Agent 327), Hans G. Kresse (Vidocq), Dino Attanasio (Johnny Goodbye), Evert Geradts (Henk Hond) en Peter de Wit (De familie Fortuin). Ook heeft hij zelf veel strips getekend zoals Polderkolder en Simon Spitsmuis (voor Eppo Wordt Vervolgd) en maakte hij meer recentelijk de internetstrip Royaal Modaal, Aloysius Frispeer en cartoons over sigaren (Cigartoons).

Martin Lodewijk is een van Ruud's favoriete scenaristen en hem zien we ook terug zijn Boekenkast. "Van de latere strips vind ik De kinderen van de wind van Bourgeon heel goed, Largo Winch en Jerome K. Jerome Bloks vanwege de verhalen. Ik hou van alles, wat goed is is goed.”

This man is a con man. He pretended to be a Euro Lottery winner with 24m Euros in his bank account. He then pretended to buy my house leading all of us on a merry dance showing us fake bank transaction screen shots.
He has cost me in the region of £300,000.
I can vouch for this! I have been told, by people close to him, we are not the first to fall prey to his lies, scams and deceit. I recently discovered someone else, online, who was almost scammed by Straatman. Thankfully, he wasn't successful on that occasion. I would not wish anyone to experience the emotional distress, but also financial costs/losses, he caused my family. His actions cost us dearly and have significantly impacted on our future. Shame on this man. Perhaps, his years creating comics gave him the skills to deceive to the extreme. Although, from what I have been told, the man scammed people when he was younger. We have pages and pages of his lies as evidence. So I can assure you this post is genuine and it is not about revenge. I am sharing this in the hope that it will help others avoid being scammed by Ruud Straatman.
